Dr. Charles Lee received a medical degree in China and came to the United States in 1991 to get an advanced degree and applied for U.S. citizenship which was eventually granted. He returned to China in 2003 to protest the treatment of the order of Falun Gong, a non-violent, spiritual movement dedicated to truthfulness, compassion and forbearance. He was arrested and spent the next 3 years in prison being beaten, tortured and force fed. After 3 years in Chinese prison he was released and returned to San Francisco where he became an anti-communist political activist. He is one of the few political prisoners to survive to tell the story and is now a leader in the movement that has seen millions of members of the Chinese Communist Party resign in disgust. He will tell his brutal story of communist torture to our listeners.
