While much has changed, the insights shared by Mark Sutherland—particularly his on-the-ground observations and historical context—are more relevant than ever in helping us understand the roots of the current conflict.

My friend Mark Sutherland from the UK just returned from a two week fact finding trip to Israel, Palestine and Jordan. His goal was to conduct interviews and see first hand the reality of life in an area that has been in continual conflict in one form or another for most of the 20th Century and the entire first quarter of the 21st Century.

Wisdom is an attribute that is supposed to come from observation and personal experience. The gift of discernment is also God given as a way to look past the advice of "experts" and the many organs of propaganda called Mainstream Media.

Reality is usually something quite different than what we are fed by special interests with specific agendas that shape public opinion. There is nothing quite as good as being there and seeing in person what actual conditions surround the events in the news. Can there ever be peace in the Middle East......and why does it always seem to be such an unachievable goal?

The ongoing conflicts and killing in the Middle East must end for the sake of humanity, but is it even possible?
